Google Ads: Search Terms Reporting

UpHex provides search terms reporting for your Google Search campaigns, so you can see exactly what people searched for when your ads were shown.

How to View Search Terms:

  1. Navigate to a client's active Google campaign.

  2. Open the campaign editor slideout by clicking on the campaign.

  3. View the Search Terms section to see the actual queries triggering your ads.

Taking Action on Search Terms:

  • Add Negative Keywords: If you see irrelevant search terms, you can add them as negative keywords directly from the campaign editor to prevent your ads from showing for those queries in the future.

  • Add Negative Placements: Block specific websites or apps where your ads appeared.

  • Add Negative Locations: Exclude geographic areas that are not relevant to your campaign.

Regularly reviewing search terms helps you optimize ad spend by filtering out low-quality traffic.
